Christmas Eve in California

Starting late, because Jonathan worked until 8pm, we had a quiet and enjoyable evening together as a family.

Each year we incorporate Christmas customs and traditions from another country/region. This year's choice was the American Southwest (i.e. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma), so for dinner we had a very tasty meal based around fajitas.

After our late dinner we practiced our own German-based tradition of opening gifts. And then off to bed to wait for Santa's coming!
