Happy New Year!

Wishing you a wonderful New Year full of God's blessings!

It seems like the last two weeks have gone by so very quickly, most of it spent with College Football on the TV. Thankfully I love watching football too. Lloyd and I rang in the New Year quietly at home. We played Boggle (one of my favorite word games) and watched the movies "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks & Catherine Zeta-Jones and "King Arthur". Both were very enjoyable to watch. About 5 minutes till midnight, we turned on the Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve to see the big crystal ball drop in New York - it kept saying it was live, but I'm sure they don't do it every hour for each time zone, so I'm thinking it was on a 3 hour delay. That's okay, I'm sure all of you were asleep by the time we watched the New Year arrive. We heard fireworks and a train rumbled by right at midnight too.

Yesterday at church we had a couple who used to attend church here 25 years ago. They have been in the Portland area since they left as he teaches at Warner Pacific. Their parents are still in the valley and they came to spend some holiday time with them. It was a pleasure to meet them and Andrew will be getting some information about attending Warner Pacific. Yes, only a year and a half till he graduates!

It was so nice to talk with my mom & dad and my brother Doug, his wife Gisela and their two girls Rebecca & Elisabeth on New Years Day where they had my family's Christmas/New Year celebration.

Last night (Sunday) we made Lloyd pull out the slides from our Europe trips and we spent about 2 hours looking at our pictures. Luke is planning to go to Europe with some friends for 3 weeks right after Christmas this year (2005/2006). He is doing a lot of preparation over the holidays and checking out places they can visit.

It's only 1 day till Elisabeth's birthday, 2 days till Uncle Dave's birthday & 3 days till Jonathan's birthday. Elisabeth will be 14, Jonathan will be 19. I don't know how old Uncle Dave will be, but I'm guessing it's more than Elisabeth & Jonathan put together!

Have a great week!
