A particularly bad day

Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seemed to go right? Well, that was my day today. In fact, I can't ever remember experiencing such a large chain of disruptive events. By the end of the day, my stress was turning to humor as I lived out this comedy of tragedy:

1. We woke up this morning to discover that our refrigerator wasn't working. And, we have a large side-by-side unit packed with food! Spent several hours trying to figure out what to do with our food. The earliest that a repair person can come to provide warranty work is Tuesday!

2. I needed to be at church today as I have much to get done today. But, when I finally got there the power was out. We've had heavy rain and winds and it looks like a transformer blew in the neighborhood.

3. Then it was off to take Luke's car in for service. It looks like his heater core has blown. Over $600 in repairs!

4. I go home to work (because I can't work at church), and Kathy calls. She has a flat tire in Lemoore. I drive out there to help her with the only car we have running right now (and we own four!)

5. While I get the tire inflated enough to go to a tire shop, my air compressor died.

6. We come home. Kathy discovers that the bread dough that was supposed to be ready for pizza tonight wasn't ready. No pizza tonight.

Ahhhh!
