Saturday was long day. With the exception of Kathy (who didn't bother coming because of her recent minor injury - see "
Klutz" on March 31st) we went with our church's youth group to Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park just north of Los Angeles. We left at 7:00am and were home around 11:30pm. Six Flags is one of the nation's premiere amusement parks, with many gut-wrenching rides. While we spent around 4 hours standing in lines waiting to get on the rides, we actually only rode for less than 15 minutes! But, everything still thought it was a great day (kinda strange, eh?). The highlight ride was the Goliath, which is the roller coaster immediately behind the wooden one pictured below (thanks to Luke and his new digital camera). The
Goliath features a 255 foot drop that reaches up to 85 miles per hour - one of the tallest drops and fastest roller coasters in the world.
