Ok, well this is just a quick update about me.
First, summer is quickly coming to a close. I move into my dorm on the 16th of August, which is only just over a week away!!! I don't start school until the 24th, but still.
Second, It is REALLY hot here. We are fairly close to breaking the record for the number of consecutive days above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If we reach above 100 every day from now until Thursday we will tie the record of 20 consecutive days. It has been hot.
Third, I am currently house-sitting for a couple in our Church as they are on a Cruise this week. I am finished tomorrow, and it has been fun so far. They have two cats, a chinchilla, and about 25 pigeons that I need to take care of everyday, as well as a pool (which comes in handy at the moment [see "Second" above].
Last, I am sure that most of you have heard that I am taking an exciting trip this winter. If not, I am. A few of my friends and I are planning on taking a three-week backpacking trip through Europe. It is going to be very packed and so much fun. Within the three weeks, we will be going to the following countries, France, Spain, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, the Vatican, Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, and Ireland. We are not sure we will get to go to every single one of these countries, but it is our plan. We will be taking the train pretty much everywhere, and staying in Youth Hostels. I have done many, many, many hours of planning for this thing (as I am a lot like my Dad). This last winter break from school, I spent 30+ hours planning and researching for this trip. Plus a lot more since then. I have budgeted out the trip for a maximum of $2000 for the entire three weeks, which is a steal of deal. And that is everything included, flight, train pass, food, lodging, souvenirs, the works. And since we are all friends who are going, it is going to be a lot of fun. If you want, you can check out my website I have created for it. I would recommend taking a look at the PDF travel handbook, and the PowerPoint slides for the trip route. Website is
