Welcome to the MoritzOnline.net blog!
The place where all five of us will regularly contribute to keep our family and friends informed of happenings in our lives.
Be sure to check back regularly.
Another week has passed and now it is only 6 days till I fly out to visit my family and especially to be with my mom and dad as she has surgery again. I couldn't stand the thought of not being there for them during another surgery so I worked it out with my family, and my employer and God supplied the funds for me to go! Praise the Lord! I am excited that I will get to see so many of my family both when I land in Detroit and when I arrive in Ontario. I am sad, though, that I won't get to see my sister and her friend Darryl. :( Oh well, that's life. This is one of the busiest weeks at work because of the California High School Exit Exam - we're testing over 300 students in our district. The logisitics is always fun! Plus with leaving town next weekend I will have to have all the materials packed and ready to go before I do.
Thursday night is Kings County College Night - it will be held at the Event Center at Lemoore High School. Jonathan, Andrew and I will probably all attend. It will give J a chance to look more closely at a 4 year college to complete his degree and will give Andrew some ideas of where to go next fall. Since he's already decided he'll be going into full-time ministry, he is not taking a year off school to work. He is thinking about taking 2 years at a local college (College of the Sequoias where J goes, or West Hills College). Those are the two closest 2-Year colleges around and both have good reputations. It's exciting and yet scary that our youngest will be graduating from high school this year. I think I'm almost middle-aged now!
