After a whirlwind trip to Detroit and then London, I'm home again with my family. It was great to see my family in the Detroit area (those who were around!) and then to have Ken & Ginny pick me up and take me to Ontario. I was able to meet Lori's friend Darryl - which was great. I'm not sure what kind of impression I made after 4 hours of sleep and a quick wake up call by Lori. He seems like a great guy! The best part was being there for my mom and dad and to help them out while mom was in the hospital. My role as chauffeur was not new, just different. Used to be my dad drove me around. I figure I put about 500 kms on their car while I was there. I went to Kitchener to see my brother's family - it's a good thing too - Rebecca pulled a muscle at school and so that was the only chance I got to see her or Gisela. I also went to Zurich/Bayfield and stopped in to see my Aunt Carol & Uncle Dave and my cousin Kevin at their greenhouses and then off to see Ken & Ginny and have a quick lunch with them before going back to London to see mom in the hospital. They have very short visiting hours there (4pm-8pm) although we didn't always abide by them! I'm happy to say mom is home today and doing fantastically well. Oh sure, she has some pain when she walks - but that's to be expected. She looks and sounds great. Thanks to all of you who prayed for my mom. God is so good!
