End of June

It's hard to believe that June will come to an end this week as I was focused on the beginning of the month and our move to Yakima. I've been in my new job for two full weeks and I'm really enjoying the people and the work.

Right now I'm on my own as Lloyd has been at the North American Convention of the Church of God since Wednesday last week. I will be picking him up from the airport on Thursday night this week - so he will have been gone another 9 days (8 nights).

I've been able to get the house a little more organized than it was before he left and have the room for Lori & Darryl all made up as we anxiously await their arrival by Friday! It will be wonderful to get to spend some time with both of them and to see Lori in all her pregnant glory! The older I get, the more difficult it is to be away from family and I wish we could be together more often - but I will enjoy the time I do have!

As Jonathan posted, he is leaving in a week for South Africa on his 6 week missions trip. Please pray for his safety and for the group - that they will be able to do good things there and many will see Jesus love in action.

It is tough to be so far away from our boys, but we are managing with phone calls and emails. It really is nice to live in the same house as my husband for a change - when he's home, that is.

We are looking forward to a short trip to Edmonton for the Labor Day weekend and look forward to seeing that side of the family. It's been three years since I've been there (except for a half-day last spring on my way to Lori's wedding). I've already booked a hair appointment with my former hair stylist, Karen. Can't wait to see everyone. Lloyd's Uncle Joe & Aunt Hertha celebrated their 50th anniversary this past Saturday, and although we couldn't be there - our hearts were with them as they celebrate. Congratulations you two!

Not much else is going on. I did get a chance to dead head my roses in the front yard, still have to work on the ones in the back - but all in good time. I have one week left if my Global Business class before starting two classes next month: U.S. History and Earth Science. Should be fun!
