Welcome to the MoritzOnline.net blog!
The place where all five of us will regularly contribute to keep our family and friends informed of happenings in our lives.
Be sure to check back regularly.
It's been some time since my last post and the next six months will be even more of a drought. (I finish my BA the end of June and have 7 classes to complete in those 6 months. 3 of the classes are 8 weeks and 4 of them are 4 weeks. Yikes!)

We had a wonderful trip to California where we spent most of our time juggling between our 3 sons work schedules. Fortunately they all had Christmas off and we were able to spend the whole day together! It was a great time of reconnecting and getting to be parents again. I was able to take both Jonathan & Andrew shopping to make sure they had enough of the basics before we returned to Washington. In fact, we went shopping almost every day. If it wasn't the grocery store it was Target or Mervyns. It was lots of fun just getting to hang out together!
The trip back was uneventful (it rained in Oregon) although we took the alternate I-5 route which made it an extra hour of driving (17 hours instead of 16). We were able to determine that the roads north of Klamath Falls on the 97 were not in great shape. In fact, that was the only part of the trip on the way down that was a little stressful. It appears they only plow the roads, as we didn't see much evidence of sanding or salting - so it was pretty much an ice rink. We saw several vehicles in the ditch as we headed south between Bend, OR and Klamath Falls, OR. So I was happy to go home the other way.
We arrived home Sunday night and Monday I spent trying to get things unpacked and put away. We did some grocery shopping yesterday and picked up my birthday present (an MP3 player!). Lloyd and I rang in the New Year with a Tex-Mex Fondue, a game of scrabble and the obligatory New Years' Rockin' Eve with Dick Clark.
Wishing you all the best in the New Year!
PS - Lloyd is going to add a photo to this post that shows my new Espresso machine with a picture of the first Capuccino we made. It was delicious! I've become quite the coffee afficionado living in the Northwest! Look out Starbucks! :) LOL
